Our Story

Tar Heel Materials and Handling was founded in 2016 originally as a mulch recycler supplying local schools, parks, and greenhouses. Since then, our company has overcome numerous challenges throughout Covid-19 and changed our business model. In the past two years alone, our business has sky rocketed utilizing our resources to ensure a safe and sustainable wood recycling process servicing North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Creating new from old; we take broken pallets fixing them for another life cycle. We also breakdown pallets reusing the components to build a solid pallet for a discounted price from new. This is not only beneficial to our enviornment by minimizing landfill waste, but also successfully reducing the need for havesting trees.
